The Eolos light drip tape, also known as a layflat hose, from Eurodrip By Rivulis is a thin polyethylene flexible tube used in drip irrigation systems in agriculture. It is designed to distribute water slowly and uniformly directly to the base of plants, reducing waste and evaporation. The filtration for all flow rates of the Eolos dripper is 120 Mesh due to the type of dripper which requires the same type of filtration (120 mesh) for each dripper flow rate.
🔧 Main Features
Material: Lightweight polyethylene (PE), very flexible
Thickness: 10 Mill
Diameter: 16 mm
Integrated drippers: 40 cm
Flow rate per dripper: available with flow rates from 1.2 lt/h - 2.4 lt/h
Operating pressure: Recommended pressure for uniform distribution on flat ground 1 bar
Filtration: required filtration for all flow rates 120 Mesh
🌱 How it works
Water enters the layflat hose and is released by the built-in drippers in the form of small drops directly into the soil near the roots. This system:
limits weed growth (only wets the cultivated row),
reduces foliar diseases (no wetting of leaves),
improves water efficiency (up to 90–95%).
🚜 Typical uses
Open-field vegetables (tomato, zucchini, melon)
Industrial crops (corn, beetroot)
Nurseries and greenhouses
Seasonal installations replaced at the end of the cycle
✅ Advantages
Low cost
Easy installation and removal
High distribution uniformity
Excellent for fertigation (administration of fertilizers in water)
✅ Performance: maximum recommended lengths at 1 bar on flat ground (10% tolerance)
16 mm - 40 cm spacing - 1.2 lt/h dripper at 1 Bar maximum distance 190 mt
16 mm - 40 cm spacing - 2.4 lt/h dripper at 1 Bar maximum distance 120 mt
